In short: Grigo sets the cookies it needs to work. Measurement and advertising cookies, and the cookies YouTube and Vimeo set for their videos on Grigo’s pages and blog, are used only with your consent.
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others are optional, and Grigo uses them only if you allow them.
These are essential. Grigo sets them itself, and they cannot be switched off.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|

remember_token | Renews your sign-in, so you are not signed out while you use Grigo. | Until you sign out or it expires |
user_language | Remembers your language. | 1 year |
user_currency | Remembers the currency prices are shown in. | 1 year |
user_time_zone | Shows lesson times in your time zone. | Until you close the browser |

So that you can sign in with your Google or Facebook account, Grigo loads these services’ sign-in tools. Google’s loads on every page. Facebook’s loads on every page of the teacher and institution apps, and on the website when you choose to sign in with Facebook. They are part of how you sign in, so they are always on. These services may set their own cookies, which Grigo does not control.
Videos on Grigo’s pages and blog are hosted by YouTube and Vimeo. When such a video loads, the service sets its own cookies, which Grigo does not control. Grigo loads the video only after you allow “Videos and social media” in the settings below, or press “Allow and play” on the video.
| Service | Used for | Its cookies |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube (Google) | Videos on Grigo’s pages and blog | Read their cookie policy |
| Vimeo | Videos on Grigo’s pages and blog | Read their cookie policy |
Videos inside a course you have bought always play, because they are part of the course you asked for. YouTube or Vimeo may set their cookies when they do.
If you allow “Measurement” or “Advertising” in the settings below, Grigo may load measurement or advertising tools. Each one runs only for the kind of cookies you allowed. If you switch them off later, Grigo deletes their cookies where it can and reloads the page. These services may also set cookies on their own websites, which Grigo does not control. The tools Grigo uses right now, and the cookies they set, are listed at the end of this page, above your cookie settings.
Use the settings below at any time. Grigo keeps your choice for up to 13 months, then asks again. You can also delete cookies in your browser’s settings, and Grigo will ask you again.
Google Tag Manager runs the measurement and advertising tools Grigo sets up in it, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) pixel. It loads if you allow Measurement or Advertising, and each tool in it runs only for the kind of cookies you allowed. It is provided by Google Ireland Limited.
